Eastern Lift Truck Co. is a leading authorized material handling equipment dealer in the United States and has been in business for almost 45 years. They offer a large variety of equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, aerial equipment, golf cars and specialty vehicles and include major brands like Yale, Combilift, Cushman, Genie, JLG, Load Lifter, Manitou, Navigator, Taylor-Dunn, and Yamaha. For the last 14 consecutive years, Yale Material Handling Corp. has given Eastern Lift their highest honor as a “Yale Dealer of Excellence” due to setting industry benchmarks in sales and customer service. In addition to Yale’s yearly honor, Eastern Lift has also been recognized as a MHEDA Most Valuable Partner for the last three consecutive years.
John Pruitt founded the company in 1971 in Maple Shade, NJ after earning an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of California at Berkeley and serving in the US Navy from 1940 to the early 1950’s. In 1996, John’s son Mike took over as President and his son Dan became Vice President. Over the last few decades, Eastern Lift grew from a single facility in NJ to having 13 total locations across 4 US states that serve businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. There are currently around 650 employees which include 300 technicians working both in shop and on the road. Since their inception, Eastern Lift Truck has strived to live up to their company slogan of “We’re Known for Good Service!” and continually succeeds in doing so.
Eastern Lift Truck has been a loyal customer of FSIP since the late 1990’s and continue to grow their business with us. In March of 2015, they began participating in our Core Storage Program and currently house 136 cores in our facility. Ed Henry, their Corporate Parts Manager, said that “the ability to consolidate all the cores we had accumulated throughout our company and send them to FSIP to store and have access to turn into sales or substitute for missing cores sold down the road” is what he finds most attractive about the program. They are currently one of numerous customers who have taken advantage of this service and we hope they continue to benefit from it for years to come.
