It is easy to overlook the amount of effort that goes into the creation of a new electric vehicle. You know its intended use and your target market, but what does it really take to go from an idea you scribbled on a notepad to a real, live, tangible product? For instance you know you will need an electric motor to drive your vehicle but even more questions come up: what kind of motor is best for my application, how powerful of a motor do I need, what’s the difference between this motor and that motor, how will selecting this motor necessitate a particular motor controller selection? All of this and more will quickly arise in the design phase but luckily there is a solution.
